Final words and conclusion

The Gigabyte krypton is a nice addition to gaming mice, albeit in all honesty is not revolutionary in its design. However if you follow the progression path of Gigabyte, then their gaming gear is evolving fast. The krypton easily manages to position itself in the high-end segment alongside other great names.

The mouse is great, but the GHOST software is really what makes the product shine as it has evolved really good. The overall feel of the mouse is good as well, but being a both left and right handed ready mouse .. it feels a little uncomfortable on the right side as there is no rounded curvature there. It's a compromise as I can only assume that the left handed people adore having a new mouse. No biggy, but it is soimething I stumbled into a couple of times.

From the ground up the design of the mouse is good though, you get a mouse with great software options, enough buttons that are highly programmable, it has cool looks and that adjustable weight system is quite nifty. Next to that a long braided cable is being used as well. The 1.8 m cord of the mouse is braided to enhance its durability. We can see the end where it extends out of the mouse is also re-inforced to enhance its durability. The USB 2.0 connector is gold-plated.

It's these little extras that make this mouse special. You certainly have to appreciate that.

We should also mention that the mouse has a very good build quality, we get to have the 8200 DPI laser engine, 32KB memory, multiple profiles selectable by a button, hardware DPI selection, adjustable weight and really extensive software.  The mouse does not feel cheap and simply is downright comfortable to use. The buttons have a good feedback when pressed and also offer very good response.  We like the swappable bottom to switch in between a ceramic and teflon base. It remains a darn majestic and good mouse.

The Gigabyte Aivia Krypton can be purchased in stores soon, if not already available. Expect the prices to hover at roughly 60 EUR / 70 USD. Fot that miney you receive a very complete and well designed gaming mouse with an exemplary software suite that goes along with it.
