Product Showcase: GeForce GTX 960

Let's start with our photo-shoot. Two pages worth of photos then and all of them from our own photo-shoot.

So as you can see, this is the GeForce GTX 960, this is the WindForce 2X OC edition that can be found under product code GV-N960WFOC-2GD. This model specifically comes with a faster standard clock frequency opposed to the reference clock frequencies.

This card has 1024 shader processors. The memory has been kept reference at 7.0 GHz (effective data-rate) on its 128-bit wide memory bus of 2 GB GDDR5 memory. The fan and cooling design is pretty impressive as the cooler will keep the card in the 55~60 Degrees C range under full gaming load. We will check that out in detail later of course.

The dual-slot card is roughly 24 cm in length with the 2-fan dual-slot based cooler included. This card has higher factory clocks as mentioned on page one, the core clock frequency for example is set at 1216 MHz, the dynamic boost clock is set at 1279 MHz. However we have seen the boost frequency of this puppy running at close to 1400 MHz.

The card
has a maximum power design of roughly 120 Watts, but due to the higher clocks and extensive tweaking please allow for 10, maybe 20 extra Watts, these boards have been designed with overclocking in mind. indeed, no back-plate with this model. It's not really needed for a light-weight and relatively small product anyway.
