Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 SOC

There we have it, we received an early sample so I do not have any box or bundle photo's available for you, but it's all about one thing and one thing only. The SOC is 29 cm in length and looks incredible sturdy, which it actually is. Gigabytes cooler we'll call Windforce 5x is cooled by five 40 mm diameter fans. We'll immediately admit that Gigabyte's solution might not be the most elegant one it does seem to be very well designed and will likely get great results in terms of cooling performance.

Alright, here we have the card showing off in a better perspective. The GTX 680 Classified is equipped with the GK104 GPU that harbors NVIDIA's Kepler architecture. The GPU is placed on a fully customized PCB and also has a BIOS switch so you may use two BIOSes.

For a rpoduct this special we where a little surprized to see 2GB of memory, we really expected a 4GN memory partition for usage with triple monitors, as that would definitely help you out in the uber high resolutions and hefty AA combinations.

All Kepler family graphics cards are PCIe gen 3.0 compatible. Going from PCIe Gen 2 to Gen 3 doubles the bandwidth available to the add-on cards installed, from 500 MB/s per lane to 1 GB/s per lane. At the backside you can see the slightly higher PCB design. A very clean PCB I must say.
