Right, we'll skip the GPU architecture and DX11 explanation as we are sure you know the dynamics by now. We received a card straight from the factory, packaging was not yet ready. We're sure though that you will receive the basics like graphics card, PEG converter cables, HDMI cable, manual and driver CD.

Overall, it's a nice and dark looking card with a PCB color dark blue. But let's look at the card from several different viewpoints; the GTX 480 card is quite good looking and that massive cooler... A completely black (PCB) design might have looked a tad nicer though.

The GeForce GTX 480 comes with heaps of memory, 1536 MB to be precise. And that should be enough alright. The reference cards are clocked at a 700 MHz core frequency, 1400 MHz on the shader processors and the gDDR5 memory runs at an effective ~3700 MHz.

The Gigabyte SOC edition however comes factory over-clocked at 820 MHz on the core, 1640 MHz on the shader processors and its memory is clocked at 3800 MHz (effective). And that does make a noticeable difference in performance alright.
