I just lost you there didn't I .. yeah let me show you. Never underestimate the power of cheap LEDs, done right they look damn cool.
From north to south, we see the chipset and voltage regulators cooled by one large heatpipe. The design works really well and doesn't get hot at all.
This is 'I likey a lottie'. You get to have 10 SATA II ports. And that is just awesome. Lately I have been moaning about high-end motherboards not having enough SATA connectivity. Gigabyte pushes onwards, respect.
Additional headers for FireWire and USB ports. In green an IDE port for the somewhat older optical and HDDs and then a color coded frontpanel headers. Just above the green hornet there you can spot a POST diagnostic LED. A, let me lit her up for you.
There we go, each code displays the status of the motherboard. FF is to thumbs up, Code 26 could mean a VGA card issue etc etc. Very handy if you need to solve an issue yet have no idea what the cause is. The codes obviously are explained in the manual.
