The Ampere series will replace the Turing lineup, which will fade out of the market as these cards sit right on top of their prices yet are much faster. The GeForce RTX 3080 has  8704 stream/shader processors. The reference 3080 cards have a peak boost clock up-to 1.71 GHz, with the base clock hovering in the 1.44 GHz domain.

  • Out of the box performance for a reference card is: 1710 MHz Boost  / 19 Gbps GDDR6X
  • This card out of the box performance is: 1905 MHz Boost / 19 Gbps GDDR6X (default is configured at performance BIOS mode)
Clock frequency means squat these days as the card runs into limiters. The power limiter seems to give a bit more leech for this card. Weighing in at roughly 2kg, the card is a bit heavy.  I should note, once you register the product at Gigabyte, you'll be eligible for a 4-year warranty on this product. That's rather unique in this industry.

pretty cool, each PSY connector has an LED. WHITE for connected, off no connection, and blinking if abnormal power delivery is detected.
