We look at the founders edition from NVIDIA today. Equipped with the AD106 GPU featuring 4352 CUDA cores and 32MB L2 cache, these cards deliver outstanding graphics processing power, boasting up to 22Tflops of shading performance. The GPUs offer a memory bandwidth of 288GB/s. The total board power of the RTX 4060 Ti is 160W, although it consumes an average of 120-140W during gameplay.

The Founder Edition of this graphics card features a sleek and well-designed finish, providing an elegant look and feel. With its three-slot thickness, it makes a substantial addition to any system. Maintaining the board design similar to the RTX 4070/4080/4090 Founder Edition, NVIDIA has retained the previous-generation Dual-Axial Flow-Through cooling architecture but with significant improvements. This includes larger radiators and an enhanced fan design, resulting in more efficient cooling.

In addition to the RTX 4060 Ti, Nvidia introduces the GeForce RTX 4060, featuring the AD107 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores and 24MB L2 cache. This card comes with 8GB of memory and achieves a memory bandwidth of up to 272GB/s. Nvidia claims that the RTX 4060 is 20 percent faster than the current RTX 3060 without Frame Generation.

One notable feature of the RTX 40-series graphics cards is that NVIDIA is the exclusive provider of power adapters. Whether for the Founders Edition or custom-designed boards by partners, NVIDIA ensures high-quality power adapters accompany the graphics cards.

Despite conforming to PCIe Gen 5 specifications, the GeForce RTX 4060 series utilizes a PCIe Gen 4.0 x8 host interface. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti model boasts 8GB of GDDR6 memory and a wide 128-bit memory bus. To power this graphics card, it is recommended to have a minimum 500W power supply, although the realistic power consumption of the Founder Edition card is around 160W peak. Board partners have more flexibility in terms of TGP allowance, which may result in higher wattage for their specific models.
