DX11: Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Flight Simulator 2020 scores unusually well in the graphics area. The world scenery looks magnificent, lots of cities and airports have been manually revised by hand. The ones that did not get premium treatment also look pretty good. We test at ultra quality settings and TAA enabled. Our flight consists of take-off, a slow turn to the left for heading, and a combination of cockpit and external views. Each resolution is recorded for three minutes, resulting in your average frames per second. Flight Simulator 2020 is full of system-related bottlenecks and that is holding down performance in the lower resolutions. The faster graphics cards start to show off starting at Ultra HD though.
Note: we tested with the new update patch that should have brought a bit more performance. Unfortunately, that does not turn out to be the case.
