Right then MSI delivered us the GeForce GTX 650 Power Edition obviously they'll offer multiple models/SKUs as well but the one submitted comes factory overclocked albeit we have to state .. it's not a lot.

The card has a mild overclock at 1124 MHz coming from a reference 1058 MHz. There is no Turbo or Dynamic boost mode for this card. The effective memory data rate (128-bit) is 5000 MHz which follows the reference standard. It's GDDR5 though so that doubles up bandwidth giving this product 80GB/sec of  bandwidth to fool around with.

The card has been equipped with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. So yes at 1124 MHz the card is clocked 66 MHz faster hen the reference product.

When we look at the PCB we do see that MSI uses a customized PCB design, a very clean layout with proper component selection and the color black. The cooler we can already state works really well as symbiosis with GK107. The noise levels are fairly hard to measure and the cooling performance grand. We'll show you that in our tests of course.

But lets walk through the product guided by photo's.

GeForce GTX 650

Alright, here we have the MSI GeForce GTX 665 power edition, the 1GB SKU (stock keeping unit) and its packaging. Overall a nice looking card some grey and blue tones. Let's look at the card from several different viewpoints.

GeForce GTX 650

The card is equipped with the GK107 GPU that harbors the Kepler GPU architecture. You get the basics like the graphics card, PEG converter cables, manual and a demo and driver CD, though bundles will vary with AIB/AIC partners. MSI  clocks this card at a shy 1058 MHz baseclock and the memory is running at 5 GHz. The board is totally pimped out, as the cooler harbors two nice surprises.

First off, you'll receive an extra cooling fan, which you can (optionally) place on two locations. One fan is fine really, but if you like a little extra for overclocking ... two is your option. now look at the next photo:

Now here the coolest thing, you can slide the top cover of that cooler to the left, you get an opening ... for an extra fan.

BAZINGA ! And as you can see you can pop in the fan into a second location. Now if you look at that, does that seem like an entry level product ? That looks great. BTW you'll notice that the card does not come with a SLI connector and thus does not support SLI.
