The products reviewed today originate from Point of View, let's have a peek at what they shipped in shall we?

GeForce GTX 590

Right as you can see, we have two cards in house for the launch review. Unfortunately NVIDIA blocked SLI support in the drivers as they did not have it finished up quite yet. So this review will cover the performance of just one card.

Also boxes and bundle where not ready for the Point of View products just yet. So I can't show you any photo's on it just yet. But hey now, we have the cards in-house... and that's all that matters of course.

The card itself is 11-inch long, that's give or take 28cm in the metric system. Though not the longest card in the book, please do make sure you have plenty of space inside you chassis. power connectors are located at the top size so that give you a little extra room to play around with.

If we rotate the card a tiny bit we can see one SLI connector, yup -- as stated SLI is supported. With the card already having two GPUs you thus can literally activate four GPUs. NVIDIA however has never really recommended and actively supported quad-SLI.

The release of the Radeon HD 6990 with actual working quad-GPU support seems to have caught NVIDIA slightly off guard, hence the late support for proper quad-SLI. Once that is finalized in the driver we'll be sure to address that in a separate review of course.

GeForce GTX 590

The GeForce GTX 590 comes with four connector, three dual-link DVI and one mini-HDMI connector. One card will get you more then sufficient enough performance to play your games on with three monitors in. We still receive this question a lot, but dual-link DVI does not mean you can hook up two monitors to one connector. Dual-link means double the signal, that way monitor resolutions over 1920x1200 can be supported. So dual-link DVI means it supports high-resolution or high-refresh rate monitors.
