ATI versus NVIDIA: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Battlefield Bad Company 2 DX11

We opt to test DX11 solely for this title as we want to look at the most modern performance and image quality. DX11 wise we get as extras softened dynamic shadows and shader based performance improvements. A great game to play, a great game image quality wise. We raise the bar, image quality settings wise:

  • DirectX 11 enabled
  • 8x Multi-sample Anti aliasing
  • 16 Anisotropic filtering
  • All image quality settings enabled at maximum

From top to bottom again 1600x1200, 1920x1200 and 2560x1600. As you can see up-to 1920x1200 performance remains really close scaling wise, but NVIDIA hasĀ a tiny bit of a lead. It remains minimal though. Great scaling perf for both brands alright. This is really good.

And again a competitive chart carrying some more cards. These are all based on the same image quality settings by the way, measures at a monitor resolution of 1920x1200.
