No detailed bundle and box shots from Gigabyte, our friends at Gigabyte's HQ literally had to send out this cool looking card with the packaging unfinished. Well, it was either send it out this way or miss this launch review. Knowing Gigabyte you'll receive the basics and Gigabyte's overclock suite called uGuru. So the model that GBT shipped out is the pre-overclocked GV-N460OC-768I SKU. As you can tell from the SKU code, this is a 768MB model, but... GBT overclocked it at default for you. They are firing off a nice 715 MHz on the core clock, 1430 MHz on the shader processor domain and the reference 3600 MHz (effective data rate) on the 768MB 192-bit memory.

Now the card itself is quite a looker with a nice custom blue PCB and obviously that cooler. Two 80mm fans are being used here that blow air over an aluminum heatsink / heat pipe design. The cooling performance is good, but not as impressive as the noise levels, though we'll discuss this later on... this card simply refuses to make any sound... yep... you cannot freaking hear it, even when we overclock it close to 900 MHz (!) it still remains extremely silent and under 65 degrees C when fully stressed (overclocked). Very nice.

On the connectivity side, things are little more bland... the standard two DVI connectors and a mini-HDMI connector.

At the rear we can spot the two 6-pin power connectors again, nicely located at a somewhat more convenient location. Here we can see the aluminum fins of the cooler a tad better as well. That cooler really is quite impressive.

Ahw -- like a turtle that has been dropped on its back. As you can see, the PCB design hints very much to the reference design, still there are minor subtle changes. As always GBT uses a blue PCB and again we spot one SLI finger that will allow you to couple another card and then set up the configuration in SLI mode. The card will come with a two year warranty policy and is tagged to be sold at a 210 USD price level, which would be a great price for this product.
