EVGA GeForce GTS 450 FTW

For The Win babeeeh! Yeah, in case you did not know what FTW stood for. Obviously eVGA will release a wide range of GTX 450 cards with one of the highest clocked versions the product we have in house today. The EVGA GeForce GTS 450 FTW is a finely tuned and cherry picked graphics card. It's tested to be able to run at higher clock frequencies and then an accompanying BIOS is applied.

At the first launch wave three cards will be released:

  • GTS 450 FPB - EUR 129.90/ GGBP108
  • GTS 450 SC - EUR 135.00/ GBP112
  • GTS 450 FTW - EUR 145.00/ GBP119

The result here is that EVGA clocks their FTW edition GTS 450 at an amazing 920 MHz, that's 1840 MHz on the shader. Next to that they have applied the highest possible memory clock of all cards tested today with an effective memory clock frequency of no less than 4100 MHz, that will give that 128-bit bus a little more air to breathe in. Wicked leading performance within the GTS 450 is what the FTW will offer.

Armed with a nice step-up program and excellent warranty program (2 Years Limited Warranty which you can extend to a 10 Years Limited Warranty if you register the product) eVGA is one of the highest ranking NVIDIA partners on the market.

When we look at connectivity we see that EVGA tucked away three monitor connections on the PCB, a mini HDMI and two DVI connectors. The card uses one 6-pin power connector and obviously is also equipped with just one SLI connector.

Overall, a reference product from PCB design to cooling, yet it does come with a nice black design (including the PCB), it's a cherry picked and sorted component, and runs amongst the highest clock frequencies available in the GTS 450 range. We can't wait to see how it behaves in our test system.
