Impressions and benchmarks
- Level Upriver
- DirectX 11 enabled
- 8x Multi-sample Anti-aliasing
- 16 Anisotropic filtering
- All image quality settings enabled at maximum
I had doubts using this title as it is quite stringent on the settings but mind you that for the GTX 660 DX11 is actually enabled --- that's how much stronger today's cards really are.
I wanted at least one modern game title in the benchmarks:
- DX11
- Very high Quality mode
- in-game AA enabled
- in-game AF enabled
You'll notice that the GTX 660 again is being treated unfair -- it runs in DX11. For this title though the frame buffer is becoming a rather big issue for the 9800 GT.
3DMark Vantage also was gives a good indication of per card performance with that one single number/score.
And the last title is being run in DX9 with 4xAA. Again have a peek at the 1280x1024 resolution to be able to get a grasp of a more objective comparison. It's quite huge .. the performance difference that is.
