Hey everybody, today Guru3D.com will be the first site ever to review an actual  Dual GeForce 7900 GT GPU solution based on a single board :) That's right, this is not a GX2 with two separate boards mounted together, but one card with two graphics cores. We have seen ASUS and Gigabyte manufacture similar products with limited success already but Galaxy is the first to push the envelope slightly with the 7600/7900 series of products in their new Masterpiece range of products.

Over the years we have reviewed a lot of products for Galaxy technology. Fact is this: Galaxy is a relatively small company, and for a company to get known and grow you sometimes need to take drastic measures compared to other competitors to show that you are out there. What Galaxy usually does is offer GeForce graphics cards based on another PCB color and lately they're also using Zalman fans. They also came up with dual-bios technology (SmartFlash) and added stuff onto the videocards like little buzzers that will go off once your fan fails or the GPU is overheating. Not only that but usually Galaxy's products at default are clocked faster or simply have good overclocking potential. Overall over the past few years Galaxy has managed to impress us greatly with their products. Their biggest problem though is not their products but their distribution. A Galaxy product is hard to find and get hold of.

So generally speaking, it's small features like mentioned above that separates the players in the large graphics arena from each other. Today we'll be looking at a product from Galaxy's new "MasterPiece" line. It's a totally new concept for Galaxy as they will be offering Dual GeForce 7600 GT's, 7900 GS and GT's on one PCB in a somewhat exclusive package.

With the MasterPiece series of product Galaxy guarantees you the following:

  • A-1 quality materials
  • Well-known branding components
  • Over specification performance
  • Guarantee life-time warranty
  • Dedicated priority email support via private email address
  • Each MasterPiece card is manually fully tested with 3D Games / 3D Mark06 / Diagnostics to meet Masterpiece specs
  • "Masterpiece Member" status on their Online Member Forum

Armed with higher than reference clocks, a large blue PCB and one massive cooler today Guru3D will be taking a good look at the Galaxy GeForce 7900 GT Dual Core. A HUGE card that has two 7900 GT GPU's clocked at 607 MHz on it's core and the card comes with 2x 512MB gDDR3 memory clocked at 1520 MHz. This card comes with a life-time warranty. Interesting ? Oh yeah for real, you better believe it!

Let's move on towards the next page where we'll discuss the standard technology features, talk about the bundle, the cooler, heat, power consumption, photo-shoot, benchmarks, overclocks and finally the verdict. Yes .. you better prepare yourself for the entire Guru3D she-bang.

Next page please !
