The Verdict

While the generic 8800 GT 512MB graphics card already is an inspiration for the money you pay for it, the Galaxy edition seems to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Not only do we see an improved PCB, we see custom cooling, a 3-phase power circuit, heaps of overclocking head-room, HDMI connector... seriously if this card was a women, I could fall in love with it.

Since we now can finally offer you the complete facts based on the final cooler I must say .. the card is just friggin awesome. The new cooling solution is working at a much lower RPM keeing the noise levels at roughly 43 DBA (entire PC noise) and that's within acceptable limits. It's still not a very quiet solution though. But the final revision of the cooler is just much better.

Galaxy GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB review

With this article revised I now can fully support what I stated earlier .. this is one of the best 8800 GT's we have had in our labs. You get really good performance for an okay price, you get to have HDMI, 6-phase power, custom cooling, nice blue PCB and overclocking potential. All these factors combined make this a truly awesome but most of all unique product. With the cooler updated to acceptable noise levels I can state that you'll purchase one heck of a card.

You get to play with roughly close 8800 GTS 512MB performance at default. If you overclock it a little further (which should be an easy thing to do) you'll push it to GeForce 8800 GTX performance, and that does not suck my kind Sir. Since that cooler issue is straightened out, you are bound to have a lot of fun and it'll offer you a really nice gaming experience up-to 1600x1200 with all eye-candy enabled, that's a Guru3D guarantee. New on the the model as tested today is the Extreme Tuner option, making the product even better. The card now has 2 BIOSes. One failsafe, and one for you to fool around with; true Guru stamina !

With that being said, I can't think of anything else but granting Galaxy our  "Best Hardware Award", we rarely give this one away. My recommendation to Galaxy, if the cooler can be a teeny weenie bit more silent .. this product would be perfect. But you guys can settle for near perfect as well right ?

This is an original product in every possible way. Not the standard reference boards with the reference cooler where product A to Z from all manufacturers are all the same. This is about product differentiation, being unique and creating a unique product. I have so much respect for a small company doing such innovative stuff; this is Galaxy at it's best.

KFA2 Galaxy GTX 550 Ti LTD OC WHITE review
In this review we'll have a peek at the warmongers from KFA2 (Galaxy), they unleash this cute little beastly looking GTX 550 Ti LTD OC White edition graphics card. And to make it even more special, they slapped all components on a sexy white PCB again. Armed with that atypical looking cooler you'll learn that this product makes no compromises, you will not hear it, it will not run hot and it even comes factory clocked at a full GHz, quite amazing as GPUs seem to slowly pass that weird 1 GHz threshold.

Galaxy GeForce 9800 GT 1024MB review | test
We test a product from the guys at Galaxy, and that means customization and extra features, all for a fair price. Custom PCB, custom cooling, custom bracket, HDMI output, black DVI+backplate heck it even packs 1024MB of memory to play around with for roughly the same money as a 512MB model. All fairly impressive really.

Galaxy GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB review
Galaxy GeForce 9800GTX PLUS test - Galaxy recently released this product, custom PCB, custom cooling, custom bracket, HDMI output, black DVI and backplate. I sometimes wonder why a small company consistently can push out striking products like that and the bigger AIBs mainly focus on the reference design.

Galaxy Geforce 8800 GT HDMI w/ Xtreme Tuner
Our initial review of this product was taken offline as we received an early version of the product. This early version had a "beta" cooler on it that made a truck-load of noise. Galaxy claimed to have a new cooler ready and asked if if we could revise the review based on the new and final cooler. And therefore we have updated this initial article to revision 2; based on new facts with the final cooling solution implemented. And it sure is a lot better.
