The front of Fractal Design VECTOR RS is equipped with two 140 Dynamic X2 GP-14 mm fans. This is not the maximum you can install here as you can add another 140 mm one. This amount of space is enough to fit even 360 mm radiators.

You can fit a setup with a very thick radiator in the front.

The backside of the Fractal Design chassis looks exactly like that of the regular Define R6 model.

You can see six universal 3.5”/2.5” brackets on the left side which can be positioned in one of eleven places. There are two places for SSDs under the backplate cut-out. There is also routing space for a 23 mm cable (you’d want a bit more), two Velcro straps, and 19 tie-down points. All that should help keep things nice and tidy. The standard cables include USB 2.0, 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C (not every motherboard has headers for that), and front panel connectors (including HD audio).

It’s possible to use up to three 4-pin (PWM) and six 3-pin fans by using the provided fan hub. You need to connect it to a port on your motherboard to be able to control the fans. The maximum current is 3A, and maximum power output is 36W.

There is a SATA cable for powering up the Fan Hub, and a fan cable that needs to be connected to the motherboard if you want to control the RPMs. The wires are black, which improves the aesthetics of the whole package. Ok, let’s proceed to the build section.
