Fractal Design Vector RS review - Product Showcase - Packaging

Product Showcase - Packaging

First up are the photos of the packaging. Nothing here that would be really different from other Fractal Design chassis. The entire package weighs 14 kg, and it’s not exactly small, so the cut-outs on the side that serve as handles are more than welcome. And what would be awaiting us inside the box?

The chassis is very well protected with Styrofoam and a plastic bag, and that helped during the shipping. No damage occurred, and the tempered glass panels (and you have a total of three here) are all right.

Each of the three panels is also covered (the left one even on both sides) with plastic film. The Fractal Design VECTOR RS has quite a modern look (due to the tempered glass panels and the angled one in the front). The color is not a surprise, as it is black, but it makes a very good impression. It’s a higher-end, mid-sized chassis, measuring 552 x 233 x 498 mm (LxWxH), with a total capacity of 64.05 l.

Inside, you’ll find the user guide and also a very wide box with the:

  • Top fan/radiator bracket
  • Top filter
  • Ventilated top panel

These accessories come in handy if you want to switch the top tempered glass panel to the ventilated one.

In the small, white accessory box you can find:

  • 4x PSU Screw
  • 15x Motherboard and Optional HDD tray screw
  • 1x MB Standoff
  • 1x Standoff Tool
  • 6x Cable Tie
  • 32x SSD Screw
  • 24x HDD Screw
  • 24x HDD Dampener
  • 4x Thumbscrews for Side Panels
  • Adjust R1 RGB controller

Overall, you can’t really complain about the accessories that Fractal Design has provided, we already got used to their generosity in this respect (although we miss the SATA Power Extension Cable). Let’s proceed to the evaluation of the exterior.

Fractal Design North chassis review
This time, we’re checking out a mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis –a Fractal Design NORTH. The look is inspired by a Scandinavian design, with bespoke details like brass (Charcoal), steel (Chalk), or faux leather tab for easy access to the top of the chassis. It introduces fusing design and airflow engineering. Natural materials like genuine walnut (Charcoal) or oak (Chalk) panels make this gaming case a stylish addition to the living space.
