Product Showcase - Packaging

Let's dive straight into the photoshoot. As always, we start with the packaging. A simple packaging catches our attention. The case is packaged in Fractal's standard brown cardboard box. Everything is securely tucked away in the case, which provides excellent protection.

As you will notice, the chassis is well packaged with minimal risk of damage. The chassis is protected in Styrofoam and a plastic bag.

Beyond the case itself, the package has two mounting rails, which allow you to replace the 180mm front-facing fan with either 140mm or 120mm fans. There is also a GPU mount, screws, and an instruction booklet to complete the package.

There were no noticeable scratches, dents, fingerprints, dust, mud, or hip graffiti spray jobs on it whatsoever. Admittedly, I would like to be surprised just one with some graffiti on there (which actually would be cool).

The absence of a separate chamber for the power supply in the bottom, as well as the novel, very open and air-permeable front, which is unique with its louvers, or at least not known to us in this form from any other case, are the two most notable features of this design.

The front is composed of plastic and can be removed completely in a few simple steps without the use of tools. A dust filter is located behind the louvers, and beyond that on the case are two massive Prisma AL-18 ARGB fans. These take up the entire width of the chamber but can be replaced with smaller fans. Two adapters are required, however, they are included.

For storage, the Fractal Torrent chassis can accommodate up to two 3.5-inch drives and three 2.5-inch drives, allowing this chassis to accommodate a total of six storage drives in its chassis. With the addition of any M.2 storage that you are able to install on your motherboard, you will have more than enough storage to handle any normal use case scenario. If you require more storage space than that, you should consider Fractal's Define range of hard drives.

Radiators up to 420 mm in diameter can be fitted in the front and bottom, and a 140 mm radiator can be mounted in the rear. Additionally, radiators up to 180 mm wide can be put in the front, but the maximum allowable length is decreased to 360 mm. Additionally, while there are two places available for 420 mm radiators, only one can be mounted. If you already have a 420 mm radiator in the front, this takes up space in the bottom, leaving just 360 or 280 mm radiators available.
