Alright, as always we begin with packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, honestly, you do not want any defects and scratches on it. Define R6 .. check and check again - it is packaged in cardboard. As you can see, we received two cases, the black, and the white edition
 

 
Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a cloth bag. Packaging was done decently; risk of damage is fairly minimal. But, and I do speak out of experience, you never know what FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT do during transport. They once delivered a package to me after they had driven over it with a forklift and dared to deliver it (no joke).

Once unpacked, we see a little better what the chassis is all about. Next, to the chassis, you'll receive the standard gear like screws, standoffs, and zip-ties, manual etc. I adore the black chassis, others will get a smile on their face if they see that white version with black bezel. By the way, the front face plate is made out of brushed aluminum, it's a door as well as behind it you can tuck an optical (yes you don't see that a lot these days. 

So yes, there's room for one 5.25" (optical) device. The chassis has ATX, Micro ATX, Mini ITX, and E-ATX motherboard compatibility and has chassis dimensions of  (WxHxD): 535 x 233 x 448mm with a good Net weight of 12.4kg

 
Here I have opened that door, interesting fact .. it may be reversed. So right now it opens on the right side, you can swap that to the left side. No clue as to why anyone would find that important though!. At the top, you can see the optical latch. Below it the air vent, as you can see it is directional, downwards so it will more easily take in the air at lower noise levels.  The air intake holds a dust filter, at the top is a latch and the 'grill' can be removed and cleaned. The inside of the door has extensive thick sound dampening material applied to it.
