Fractal Design Celsius S36

We test and review the Fractal Design Celsius S36, an All-in-One liquid cooling kit that is decent in performance with a 360mm rad and three Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 PWM fans. These liquid cooling kits are pre-fitted with a single loop and ready to install straight out of the box. Armed with pretty nice looks, sleeved tubing and an attractive price, FD offers a competitive model in the massive LCS kit arena...

The Celsius S36 is an all-in-one liquid cooling solution for desktop PCs and is available in 240mm and 360 versions. The 360 kit that we test is a self-contained (AIO) CPU cooling unit based on liquid cooling. It does not require much setup installation. With a pump and radiator shipped pressure tested, it is pre-filled and sealed directly from the factory to provide maintenance-free operation for years. This ease of use extends to its support of the latest Intel and AMD sockets; including the latest Intel LGA 1155/1156/2011 and AMD FM2 sockets as well as AM4 for Ryzen. The series is equipped with a high-density water micro channel and copper finish block to offer efficient thermal conduction along with a proper radiator to maximize cooling performance.

The Celsius series builds upon technology from Asetek with some advancements and sound dampening materials to deliver good cooling performance with low noise output. Dual mode speed controls are both simple and robust with no need for additional software. Fan and pump speeds can be managed by an intelligent auto mode or switched to PWM mode for some user control. Also nice to see is that the Celsius has an integrated fan hub for more concealed cable routing.

Fractal Design is bundling the AIO kit with Dynamic X2 GP-12 PWM based fans. The coolers will be backed by a 5-year warranty.  Let's head onward to the next page and start up the review.
