Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 review -
Product Showcase
When we flip around the unit we can see the side panel a little better. The chassis has a very simplistic approach, stylish and dark. Rounded curvature, me likey ;) Three Silent Series R2 fans with integrated fan controller are included in this unit.
The frontside can house two 5.25" storage units like ODDs. The bezel ventilation grill can be taken out. In fact let me show you that.
Dang, that's West Coast style man! If you pull the bezel forward you will stumble into a removable fan filter for easy dust maintenance and washing. There is one front hydraulic bearing 140mm Silent Series R2 fan mounted, these are specced at a 1000 RPM. There is space for another 120/140mm fan (not included) and yes, in front of it is a removable air filter that ensures a dust-free environment for internal components.
The top and side panels can be removed be removing thumbnails at the back, then pull the panels towards you. Just say simzalabim and boom, you gain access to the inner peace and tranquility. The size of the chassis by the way is (WxHxD): 230 x 460 x 515mm and has a Net weight of 10.7 kg.
At the backside rear IO we spot a 140mm fan (1000 RPM R2 fan) factory installed. Below it we spot 7 + 1 expansion slots. You can use the vertical one for say a USB extender bracket or a cup holder maybe?
This time, we’re checking out a mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis –a Fractal Design NORTH. The look is inspired by a Scandinavian design, with bespoke details like brass (Charcoal), steel (Chalk), or faux leather tab for easy access to the top of the chassis. It introduces fusing design and airflow engineering. Natural materials like genuine walnut (Charcoal) or oak (Chalk) panels make this gaming case a stylish addition to the living space.
