Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 review -
Product Showcase
Cool, let's start off with the review. As always we begin with packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, honestly you do not want any defects and scratches on it. The ARC MIDI R2 is packaged in cardboard. Dammit, who's gonna do carbon fiber packaging as a first ;)
Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag. Packaging was done decently; risk on damage is fairly minimal. But, and I do speak out of experience, you never know with Fedex, UPS, DHL, TNT. They once delivered a package to me after they had driven over it with a forklift.
Included in the bundle is the standard gear like screws, standoffs and zip-ties, most nice and black by the way, we like that.
Once unpacked, we see a little better what the chassis is all about. The chassis is made out of a steel structure with black faceplate/bezel. There's room for two 5.25" devices. The chassis has ATX, Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboard compatibility and has chassis dimensions of (WxHxD): 230 x 460 x 515mm.
This time, we’re checking out a mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis –a Fractal Design NORTH. The look is inspired by a Scandinavian design, with bespoke details like brass (Charcoal), steel (Chalk), or faux leather tab for easy access to the top of the chassis. It introduces fusing design and airflow engineering. Natural materials like genuine walnut (Charcoal) or oak (Chalk) panels make this gaming case a stylish addition to the living space.
Fractal Design Focus 2 chassis review
This time, we're checking out the Fractal Design Focus 2, a successor of the Focus G chassis (ATX compatible), which we reviewed back in 2017. A Mini version was also available, dedicated to the mATX motherboards. The Fractal Design Focus 2 appears to have changed quite a lot from the original.
