Image Quality and System requirements
Visual Image Quality
Far Cry Primal pretty good, even really good if you use proper image quality settings. Whether from far away or focus close-by, graphically the game looks great from almost every point of view. Primal uses the very same game (Dunia) engine as FC4, a DirectX 11 API class title. Ubisoft has created an atmospheric place that suits the time-frame, mostly with muddy / corrosion like desert colors. Resolution and anti-aliasing aside there are some pretty decent configuration options which we'll detail on the next pages.
The scenery is nice, huge prehistoric valleys and forests feel alive thanks to volumetric lighting, particles and post-processing elements such as depth of field and object blur, which enhance combat and cut-scenes in predominantly. Overall it is a similar looking game compared to Far Cry 4 with some tweaks, refinements and polishes; all that aside from the new scenery of course.
