NVIDIA DLSS performance

NVIDIA DLSS performance

The latest patch for F1 2020 on PC will feature Nvidia DLSS technology, as long as you have a GeForce RTX GPU installed. This means that the game can run with a frame rate over 100fps at 1440p, or over 60fps with a 4K image with even a GeForce RTX 2060 Super. DLSS is an NVIDIA's AI Deep learning algorithm that boosts frame rates while generating crisp and sharp game images. It whoever requires the investment of an RTX graphics card that has Tensor cores.

We took three DLSS supporting graphics cards from mainstream to high-end, the GeForce RTX SUPER models 2060, 2070 and 2080. The results are substantial, especially the RTX 2060 SUPER benefits greatly from the new patch in Ultra HD. This can range anywhere from 15% running to 30% performance increases in Ultra HD. So yes, that is substantial. This DLSS update has been performed with GeForce 452.06 WHQL drivers.

Below you can see the three cards and their respective performance spread out over the three main resolutions tested.

Below two screenshots, to your left you cans ee 'regular' TAA (not checkerboard!) applied. To your right, we enabled NVIDIA DLSS. These screenshots are taken at 2560x1440. The difference is visible, you can see the audience being a bit fuzzier. overall though, it's pretty impressive for what you gain in return.
