Elgato Key Light Air review - Final words and conclusion

Final words and conclusion

The Elgato Key Air Light is not a cheap unit. You should also keep in mind that you’ll need two of them for the best result. Streamers should be really satisfied with the outcome (the light diffusion is brilliant), especially considering that this light can easily work with Elgato Stream Decks, allowing more convenient control of the device. All in all, the Key Light Air is a good fit for people who are ready to move on from beginner setups.

Concluding

The Key Light Air is compact on the desk, and you can easily carry it around with you to wherever you need it. The major positives include adjustable colour range and brightness levels, and the option to switch the light on/off using your PC/iOS/MacOS device with Control Center software. The Key Light Air comes with a freestanding base, so you can use it on your computer desk, or on the floor. The base is weighted, which makes it really stable, and the hidden cable rail helps reduce cable clutter. On that note, we’re giving this product a “Recommended” award, because of all the features that it brings to the table. That said, you need to remember that it’s not a cheap solution, and two units are the optimum choice for the best performance. Still, we don’t think this is going to be an issue for prolific content creators. For the casual streamer, on the other hand, a setup like that might be too costly, and a couple of cheap floor standing lights should do the job fine and even a better than that.
