Product Showcase CPU & GPU cooling (installation)
Once you applied thermal paste onto the GPU and the thermal padding is in place, we now place the PCB onto the water-block. Simply align the screw-holes and start with the four GPU holes. Use the included screws, but do not forget to apply a plastic washer to each screw, ok?
We are now close to the end-result, do not forget the front-side screws for IO bracket as well as the IO bracket screws themselves.
The only tip I can give you is "take your time", it's a 15 minute job tops. Once converted we now have a single slot water-cooled AMD Radeon R9 Nano. It is already prefilled with coolant as explained, but that I am afraid you cannot see :)
So the generic consensus is simple, we applied the CPU block and the GPU block. We just now need to connected it into the cooling loop like and do that like so:
This is why the kit is just golden ... quick disconnects. You push the connector button and pull the connectors loose and separate them. Do you see the the tiny drop of coolant ? That is all the leakage there is as the second the coupling releases it is automatically shuts secure and closed. Super impressive, really.
With the GPU now inserted into the cooling loop we can seat the card onto the motherboard, that is a pretty nice sighting eh? And good Lordeeeh I do need to dust off that Sabertooth shielding. Yeah, we have been using it like a cheap hooker for the cooler reviews. It leaves marks.
Obviously housed into a chassis things will look 10x better, but basically the photo above shows the cooling loop. As the results are about to be shown, I can already share the fact that the cooling capacity is just amazing. This kit has no problem whatsoever keeping the GPU under 40 degrees C at even highly stressed sequences.
