Core i7 8700 Baseline Test
Time for the essence of this review. The Deepcool Gammaxx L240240 GB should be more than enough for the range of CPUs from the Pentium to the Core i7 hexa-core or even the Core i9 octa-core. We ran the test at the default frequencies, but there should still be some room left for OC. First up is the IDLE temperature, measured when the CPU does almost nothing, just waiting for any action by the user.
Then there are LOAD temperatures, 100% usage of the CPU was generated by WPrime 2.10 (3x 1024M).
The ambient temperature was about 23 degrees C. It does affect the cooling performance for sure, but we do all our cooler test in similar conditions. You don’t want to have the CPU above 75-80 degrees at default frequencies, otherwise, we can surely assume that the cooling is very average/poor. This AIO cooler offers good performance but is a bit worse than, for example, the NZXT Kraken X62 (but that one has a 280 mm radiator). On the next page, we’ll show you how silent this cooler is.
Today, we are reviewing an air cooler from Deepcool: the AS500 (a bit too much similarity to the name of a recent Corsair air cooler – the A500, right?). It’s not the first Deepcool product that...

Deepcool CL500 chassis review
This time, we’re taking a look at the Deepcool CL500, a mid-tower PC chassis with a mesh front design that supports good airflow. In terms of the overall concept, it’s quite similar to the Macube310P, which we reviewed back in March, although Deepcool clearly indicated the changes and improvements over that model.
