In the above two screenshots the lower one (DX11) shows much better richer detail at the stone path. Parallax Occlusion Mapping  and of course DX11 enables tessellation. To the left look at the white parking stripes on the road and the sharper shadows.

By the way these are all crops from 1920x1200 screenshots. So again we see much more detail in the cobblestone path, and here focus on the water, also the stone fountain. It's shitty to look at the water with a still image, but imagine that as real-time moving water.

So overall these screenshots focus on shadows, tessellation and Parallax Occlusion Mapping. Of course there is mode like post processing effects like depth of field. overall a big quality improvement alright.
