Cougar Challenger review - Product Showcase

Right then, let's start off with the review. As always we begin with packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, and honestly you do not want any defects and scratches on it. The Challenger is packaged in cardboard.

Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag. Packaging was done decently, risk on damage is fairly minimal.

Included in the bundle is the standard gear, like screws standoffs, HDD and SSD brackets, a small mesh/fan filter for the side panel which is magnetic so you just put it into place and it is secured. Quite handy. Cougar was kind enough to include an extra Vortex fan as side mount fan as well.  Features wise the mid-tower chassis definitely is well equipped though, as we'll show you. The chassis is made out of a steel structure with plastic faceplate/bezel.

Cougar offers three color themes, as shown in the photo above. We will test the black one located to the left. The chassis comes with 1x front COUGAR 200mm red LED fan and 1x rear COUGAR Turbine 120mm fan. Design wise, you're either going to love it or hate it. The Challenger is essentially an all-black steel frame measuring 268mm x 514mm x 523mm in size, Cougar is attempting change things with a plastic bezel that looks rather busy.

Cougar Challenger review
In this review we have a peek at the Cougar Challenger, a mid-tower chassis that is loaded with options, and hey .. it's priced quite competitive as well. It's different alright. The CHALLENGER mid-tower case is particularly targeting gamers demanding for huge upgradeability capacity, best airflow and optimized ventilation characteristics.
