As you can see there is plenty of Amperages thrown around, impressive is the single +12V rail rated at 70.8 AMPs (x12V)= 849.6W available just on that rail. This PSU could easily hold two GeForce GTX 1080 (Ti) cards or two Radeon RX Vega 64 cards (if you don't overclock the GPUs, CPUs or the PC overall at exorbitant levels).

Graphics card wise with our tested 850W model you get to play with three sets of 6+2 Pin PCIe connectors, that's right, each cable holding two 8-pin PCI PEG connectors. What you will notice is the dark sleeved cabling with dark-colored connectors, overall a good design that fits the dark theme and style. The cables all have a proper nice length as well, but we'll look at that on the next page.

Being a modular power supply, the rear side of the PSU is all about modular cable connectors. You will spot two connectors for the single 24-pin ATX cable, connectors for the PCI Express and EPS cables, multiple connectors for the SATA/Molex device cables.

The RMx utilizes the new “Type 4” cable set. The 6-pin cables (for SATA and peripheral power) are identical to the Type 3 cables used previously (HXi, RM, etc.). The 8-pin cables (for ATX12V/EPS12V and PCIe) are pin compatible with Type 3 cables but have added capacitors to help reduce the ripple noise on these leads. The Type 4 24-pin has an additional four pins. These are sense wires that allow the RMx to sense the voltage at the load and adjust accordingly in an effort to improve voltage regulation. Individually sleeved Type 4 cables are not yet available but will be soon.
