And here's the PCB. This 6Gbps storage unit uses Toshiba toggle mode 34nm NAND flash memory modules which are 32GB each for a total of 256GB, this 256GB unit has a good eight Toshiba ICs.

To the top left you can see one of the two DRAM chips cache split into two Nanya 256MB chips, thus equaling to 512MB.

And there it is, on the backside the Marvell controller is located. As you can see this is the Marvell 88S-9174 6Gbps controller, used in several other products from Intel, Crucial and others.

Interesting to see is that the NAND flash ICs and the Marvell controller all have thermal pads cushioned on them, the pads are just to cushion the casing so it doesnt get squished.
