Right then, above packaging. Corsairs latest and greatest comes in 128 and 256GB packages. Performance is listed at 515MB/s read and 440MB/s write with 65,000 IOPS at 4k random write aligned disk access with our tested 256GB model with a slightly slower 500MB/s read and 340MB/s write with 60,000 IOPS for the 128GB version.

And there it is, this is the 2.5" SATA III 512 GB version. You should easily be able to place it somewhere in your chassis. Small and light-weight. The SSD supports TRIM yet also has garbage collection making sure your SSD will will retain its speed once in idle.

Obviously you do need to connect it to a proper SATA 3 (6G) controller though, the best ones can be found on the Intel series 6 chipset based products (H67/P67/Z68/X79).

When we look at the connectors, we spot the standard power and Serial ATA connectors. This drive is SATA3 (6G). Corsair Performance Pro series SSDcompatible,

A proper SATA 6G cable is recommended and should be delivered with your motherboard. We did try, and we never ever had issues with a standard SATA2 cable either.
