Final words and conclusion
The NIGHTSWORD RGB provides great performance, with plenty of features, ten programmable buttons, full customization, and a right-handed design. The lighting on this mouse is a huge selling point, as there are eight areas of RGB lighting broken up into four zones. The quality is very good, and the performance leaves nothing to be desired. The 18K sensor can be fine-tuned from 100 DPI upwards, in 1 DPI steps. Isn’t that excellent?
The mouse really doesn’t feel cheap and it’s sturdy (although you might get a different impression at first glance). It uses a braided USB cable (1.8 m long). The buttons offer great response/feedback, and are placed in convenient spots on the chassis. You get all of this for the MSRP of 79.99 USD, 79.99 EUR, or 69.99 GBP. For that dough, you receive a mouse that is ergonomic and comfortable, and you get a product with plenty of software options and ten buttons that are programmable. The iCUE software is nice, and we didn't encounter any bugs while using it. It’s also fast and has no lag. You can update the mouse’s firmware via iCUE as well.
The Verdict
For the MSRP of 79.99 USD, 79.99 EUR, or 69.99 GBP you get an 18K DPI gaming mouse with iCUE software. In this price range, you can consider mice like the Logitech G502. The quality is better than expected, the product does not feel cheap, and the whole unit is sturdy. The durable rubber grips are comfortable, but also very hard-wearing. Then there are the tough, matte-finish mouse buttons, and that shiny, glossy detailing around the edge. You shouldn’t have any problems with the ergonomics, as the NIGHTSWORD felt like a natural extension of my right hand. Overall, this is a really tempting product with a great sensor (one of the best on the market) and full of features, so it receives our recommended by Guru3D.com award.
