Final words and conclusion

The M55 RGB Pro provides good performance, plenty of features with eight programmable buttons and a versatile, ambidextrous design that lets you use the device with your left and right hand with the same level of comfort. It also doesn’t really matter what kind of grip you prefer, as this Corsair mouse should suit all your needs in this respect as well. It’s not a breakthrough product, not really, but the quality is still very decent, and the performance is nothing to be ashamed of either.

The mouse really doesn’t feel cheap and it sturdy. It uses a braided USB cable (1.8 m long) that’s a bit stiff. The buttons offer good response/feedback and are placed in good spots on the chassis. It’s important to emphasize that 12400 DPI of the Pixart 3327 sensor is achieved via software interpolation (the native DPI is 6200). You get all of this for only 39.99 USD/49.99 EUR/44.99 GBP. For that dough, you receive a mouse that is ergonomic and comfortable, and you get a product with plenty of software options and eight buttons that are programmable. The iCUE software is quite good, and we didn't encounter any bugs while using it. It’s also fast and has no lag. You can update the mouse’s firmware via iCUE as well.

The Verdict

For 39.99 USD/49.99 EUR/44.99 GBP, you get a 12,4K DPI gaming mouse with iCUE software (keep in mind that the real, not software-interpolated resolution is 6200 DPI). This is really tempting, the product receives our recommended by Guru3D.com award. The quality is better than expected, honestly, it does not feel cheap or flimsy at all which in this price range you see quite often. You shouldn’t have any problems with the ergonomics, as the ambidextrous design really does the job well here as well. The selection of materials and workmanship are among the most important advantages of this mouse, and it can boldly compete with much more expensive models. The main drawback would be the one-button DPI selector (same as in the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless) but that’s really all there is to say in this matter.
