The wrist rest is detachable, and you can simply take it off without any effort. It’s made of rather thin plastic and is soft to the touch thanks to the leatherette cushion.

The keys for dimming, switching profiles, and the Windows-Lock button are on the left. All keys are fitted with RGB back-light LEDs, which can be configured individually (colour/animation).

The backlight dimmer has three levels, which is a great feature. The brightest setting can be too bright in a dark room. The RGB lighting looks really nice against the black background, and there is no bleeding between heavily contrasting colours.

Lighting for each key can be set individually, in iCUE. Even the secondary keys look great with RGB. There’s an option to enable the LED backlight only for the WASD keys, or arrow keys if you prefer. The keyboard comes with several built-in profiles, but you can create custom ones, and also download more.

The overall design is great: mechanical keys, aluminium frame, and an ergonomic and soft wrist rest.
