The foldable stands have rubber inserts. These prevent the keyboard from moving when you play dynamic games. They don’t alter the K95’s angle significantly, but still improve the ergonomics a little.
The media buttons are located above the Numpad (stop, skip, and pause/play). The mute button and volume roller are also there. They feel sturdy and are easily accessible. The volume control has some resistance to it (it’s tactile) and isn’t too smooth, which is good in my opinion. Most users should like it.
The K95 PLATINUM XT has brightness and Windows lock buttons (“game mode”), plus a profile-selector button. The brightness button cycles through three brightness levels in addition to an off mode.
There are also six programmable macro keys.
The keys are exposed, so cleaning them with a can of compressed air should do the job. Unfortunately, there’s a downside to that. The base can get dirty quite quickly. You can also see that the keycaps are made from PBT. This is better than the (gaming) industry standard, which is ABS. PBT remains "dry" and grippy-feeling even after extended use.

The Katar Pro Wireless is rather targeted at gamers, but it should also work more than fine as a regular mouse.
