The Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM XT arrives in a mostly black cardboard box that demonstrates the keyboard’s design and lighting. It’s a departure from Corsair’s usual all-yellow colour scheme.

Inside, we find the keyboard protected by a cardboard frame and a transparent plastic bag.

The Corsair K95 RGB PLATINUM XT’s frame is made of quality brushed aluminum with dimensions of 465 x 171 x 36 mm (length, width, height) and a weight of 1.31 kg. It is very robust, and finished to an excellent standard. The keycaps are made of PBT (not ABS) and are of the highest quality as well (almost no one should be picky about them).

Additionally, inside we can find the user guide, a warranty card, and a removable (cushioned) wrist rest. In two separate plastic bags, there are: an extraction clamp for the keys and two alternative keycap sets with a rough grey surface, intended for gaming (FPS and MOBA), as well as some blue ones for Elgato.

The detachable wrist rest is covered with leatherette and it’s very comfortable. It should do its job well most of the time. It’s hard to say what it will be like during long gaming sessions in the summer, as we tested it at the beginning of winter.

You can also see that the space bar has a diamond-plate texture.
