Keys and Switches

The backside is just that, plain and simple. The indentation can be used to route some cables btw. Ehm, yeah it sits sturdy on my desktop, no complaints here.

We mentioned the rubber feet already. You can use standoffs as well to allow a little more height and create an angled position.

The cable (braided) is roughly two meters in length, which offers plenty of reach. it has to traditional dual USB connectors, one for the keyboard, and one for the extended USB port at the rear side of the keyboard..

I just have to mention the wrist rest, it's made out of memory foam, the material used is extremely soft. It really feels very nice. The Corsair has been embedded very subtly on there as well.

And there we have them, the Optical-Mechanical Keyswitches hidden under the durable double-shot PBT keycaps. OPX is a Corsair exclusive optical-mechanical key switch that uses a beam of infrared light to detect keystrokes with zero debounce. It's a very fast switch with an actuation distance of 1.0mm, 45g actuation force (same as Cherry MX Red).

Included are replaceable WASD keys, rugged, and a keycap puller. We really liked the new OPX switches btw. We wonder if this will be the new trend, as so many manufacturers these days develop their own switches. As stated Corsair will be offering this K100 RGB in a SpeedMX version from Cherry as well.
