Testing

Here’s how it looks in the testing rig. After installation on AOC AGON AG271QG:

As you can see, the V-shape at the back doesn’t make life easier for application on the sides of the monitor. First shot with the RGB enabled (sync mode with other iCUE stuff) :

Using the strips to illuminate the wall in a colour of your choosing can look fantastic late at night, particularly if you’ve invested in several other RGB LED products, which is more than likely if you’re looking to buy this kit. The lighting does a good job, making your work/gaming experience better. The ambient mode works by displaying the same colours on the RGB strips as you are seeing on your screen.

Of course, a good application for this is gaming. I went ahead and fired up a game and played for a while to see how accurate the LS100 system really was.

After testing the ambient lighting kit for a couple of days, I’m sold on the concept – it absolutely delivers a convincing experience that makes games and videos feel more real.
