The H100i is designed together with CoolIT, so if you recognise the design ... that's probably why. The cooling setup itself uses that all to familiar low-profile cooling unit design with a micro-channel copper cold plate.

The H100i (and H80i) both use a new cold-plate and (split-flow) manifold design, new mounting bracket, new larger-diameter tubing (higher flow, also more flexible, but same low evaporation-rates as the old ones), new fans and have better Link support.

The fans are based on the SP120, so deliver very high pressure and low noise at a given rpm, compared to the older fans. They are specifically designed for radiators too, unlike the fans you often see with these all-in-one LCs.

Corsair Link is now better integrated in the pump unit so Link works out-of-the-box. There’s also a second input so you can use the pump as a mini Commander unit. Besides the usual fan speed/fan profiles, you can also customise the colour of the backlit Corsair logo on the pump unit. It uses an RGB LED so almost any colour is possible.

The radiator is the only component to differ between the two Hydro Series coolers, as the H80i comes with an 120mm unit, while the H100i features a much more preferred 240mm radiator.

The H100i can only be installed in cases with fittings for a standard 240mm radiator, while the H80 is compatible with almost all cases that feature a 120mm fan mount. The h100i as tested today can be used for AMD AM2, AMD AM3, AMD FM1, AMD FM2, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366, Intel LGA 2011.

A quick search shows prices of roughly 100 EUR for the H100i here in the Netherlands. But let's have a look at the product, in more detail.
