Corsair delivers the mouse with their proprietary control software called Corsair Utility Engine (CUE). It is the basis control software that is used for their RGB keyboard, headsets and mice.

On first start, the CUE software will update your mouse if needed with new firmware, for the new SCIMITAR PRO model preconfigured profiles are uploaded into the mouse, three of them. These allow differentiation of Macros, DPI, RGB, Calibration and whatevere you prefer.

The new update of CUE is much better to operate and understand, really a massive imporvement over the previous iterations. It is an extensive suite where a wide variety of preferences can be set up in several profiles. Configurable DPI levels, button assignments and so on.

The first "page" of the software allows you to select the device you are customizing. You get a "Profiles" tab for all button assignments, "Performance" allows you to change the DPI settings, pointer motion speed, lift height and angle snapping. We get the lighting zones to any of 16.8 million different RGB colors and you may even add a few lighting effects. The "Actions editor" allows us to program Macros.

We to date did not run into any issues with the new software. Below a screenshot overview of some more CUE features that come with the mouse.
