During our test benchmarks stress tests with a high-stress workload, we monitor the SSD temperature. The controller reaches a max of 50 Degrees, which is reasonable. However, the value contradicts with the thermal image:

Under extreme load the controller heats up though, 80 Degrees C. The thermal sticker does spread out the heat a bit though, which is good. For high-speed enthusiast class performance SSDs we do recommend you to use a heatsink, as provided by pretty much any motherboard manufacturers these days.
