Product Showcase - The Build
The Build
It is time to gather some gear and build us a PC. I am not going to go all extraordinary with extensive and custom liquid cooling etc., we'll be building a typical system that you guys would build at home.
We used a basic mock-up motherboard with a heat-pipe cooler. It has been asked many times, why not use LCS in the reviews? It's for the simple reason to see if a heat-pipe cooler properly fits. Above, you can see how the PSU will be mounted, vertically.
All sizes fit really, at the back side you can secure it with a retention clip and a screw.
We'll use a Z270 MSI motherboard with a heat-pipe cooler, and we just could not leave out the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4 memory (review) of course.
As you can see, there is plenty of clearance to mount everything, for cable routing you'll see plenty of grommet holes (rubberized) and lots of gaps and space to tuck stuff away.
See what Corsair did there? The excess cables can be hidden in the 2nd compartment. So much space. See how that cleaned up? All main wiring has been hidden this way.
Quick check, yep... she's alive.
