Corsair Carbide Air 740 review -
Product Showcase
The inner wiring of the chassis (power/led/audio/button leads) are all black as well, less intrusive to the eyes that way. Here you can mount the PSU in the back compartment. You secure it with four screws on the front-side and mount it shut inside with a mounting bracket. The unit supports PSUs up-to 22cm.
Again, cable routing nirvana! So what about the air intake for the PSU you might wonder? Well, let's have a look at the side-panel on the next photo:
Yes, that ventilation gap is the air intake for your power supply. It has a magnetic dust filter that you can easily clean out. So basically the top fan is the intake and at the back the PSU immediately exhausts it warm air.
The top side is just great, you can leave it as is, install a radiator or one or two fans, you pick a preference. The downside, it's a bit close to the motherboard tray, but hey, it is a big yet compact chassis my man.
The top side panel has a big mesh as well. That top side mesh is easily removed in case you need to clean it for dust. Just two thumb-screws and a push is all that is needed.
Corsair has made a shift in cable management with its latest offering, the Corsair RMx Shift series. This PSU series introduces a side-positioned DC connector panel. This addition grants users seaml...
