CoolerMaster Cosmos S reviewAah thank Gawd! Free at last, free at last ... we got rid of boring cases at last! Hey everyone. Today is the day that the guys from CoolerMaster are releasing their all now full-size high-end ATX chassis. Yeah, you might have heard about it already as it was already on display at the CES in Las Vegas. It's the Cosmos S, a very nice aluminum full-tower ATX chassis, highly styled, highly designed case with handle bars and the cooling performance to keep anything in that PC of yours chilled at thirst-quencher like temperatures.

Coolermaster is a company who are well known for their inventive product designs. Their triumph and plethora of PC cases and cooling products is what brought the company to most people's attention, yet Coolermaster products also offer a huge range of other products including storage components, cooling solutions, power supplies, modding accessories and last but not least cases, one of which we'll take a look at today.

See CoolerMaster today introduced a new PC case/chassis updated from their "Cosmos" line of products. This unit is based on a standard Cosmos 1000 with some attention-grabbing new modifications targeted at the high-end and enthusiast consumer with a diminutive amount of money to spare. It's huge, it's profound, it's impressive, it's striking and it's called the Cosmos S; with the S for "Sport".  The product was supposed to be called after the "Type S" sports cars. Yet then Coolermaster realized that a competitor was already using "Type R" PSUs and renamed the product from "Cosmos Type S" to just "Cosmos S"; a chassis series made for gamers with high-end PCs.

Todays bit will cover a new style of enclosure that is becoming popular very quickly; that being a case which cools well and still maintains a high level of design. The Cosmos S is Cooler Masters response to numerous requests from consumers and press; a desired product and we plan on seeing if it can deliver both qualities it claims.

Cosmos S has seven 5 ¼ exposed external bays and four hidden 3 ½ internal bays, measuring 10.5 x 23.5 x 24.7 (26.6 x 59.8 x 62.8 cm). Each bay uses a meshed bezel, working as an air intake, which is a very clever design to improve airflow and thus lowering the computer internal temperature. Yes, this chassis is all about optimal airflow to cool down your components versus stylish design.

Let's have a quick peek at a photo, and then dive into the review.
