As always we start with the packaging -- well, everything is packaged, cushioned and bundled safely in the box. Let's rip that packaging open.

Once opened up you'll spot the liquid cooling unit consisting of the radiator, fan, tubing, pump/cooling block. Mostly pre-fitted and ready to use of course. Everything is carefully packaged and individually wrapped in plastic.

You'll spot a backplate that support a wide variety of CPU sockets; Intel LGA 2011 / 1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 1150 / 775 and AMD Socket FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2 based processors can be used in combination with this cooler. That's extensive socket support alright.

Included are:

  • Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Mounting kit for all modern CPU sockets
  • Dual High Performance Fans 600~2400 RPM
  • Fan and radiator mounting screws
  • Rubber anti-resonating pad
  • Thermal compound
  • Quick Start Guide

So summed up, once unboxed you'll spot the cooling unit consisting of the radiator assembly, fans and brackets + backplate that supports a very wide range of AMD and Intel processors.  We do have some work cut out foru is as we need to mount the fans and cooling block retention clips.

Here we have the Nepton 240M unit, we'll need to mount the two variable PWM fans (each 120mm), with the pump and radiator assembled in one single unit. Both fans are pre-wired on one connector and are controlled from a RPM/PWM controller on your motherboard or, if preferred, a fan controller. We'll show you that later on in the article.

Today, we are reviewing two air coolers from Cooler Master: MasterAir MA624 Stealth and MA612 Stealth ARGB. Usually, we had a chance to check the AIO solutions from them, so now it's a good opportunity to study what we can achieve more standardly. This will also be a nice occasion to present two types of cooling architecture, as the MA612 Stealth ARGB is a single-tower, and MA624 Stealth is a dual-tower
