Product Showcase
The keyboard weighs 1.1kg and features different lighting effect presets with the ability to customize brightness and speed, the capability to easily create your own per-key lighting pattern, and all the great keyboard features that make life easier, such as built-in media control, dedicated volume control, n-key rollover & 100% anti-ghosting, and a default 1000Hz polling rate. Keep in mind that the hardware that resides in this keyboard is pretty spiffy as it uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex M3 CPU with 512KB of onboard memory. This allow you to save up to four custom profiles.
In the top row, you can spot a number of media keys as well as a button that dims or increases the RGB lighting on the fly. Based on your preferences you can light up the keys in two stages. The brightest mode or even off, as shown above. A simple yet great to have option really. It's a good looking set of keys alright. As stated, you could also opt to just enable the ASDF/ QWER segment or all or no keys.
The MK850 holds two textured metal wheels along the left side of top edge. Obviously, one (right) can be used to control audio volume. The other, again, keyboard brightness. The location to the left feels a little unnatural, I prefer these to be on the right side.
All the way at the top right there is another set of dedicated keys to be found, these are for Aimpad bits which we'll discuss on the next page.
