At the top and front right and left sides, close to the bezel, you can see the air-intake meshes. The side panel is made out of nice thick metal, powder coated.

All the way up-top the front panel features a utility / IO panel on the top that includes USB 3.0 x 2 and USB 2.0 x 2, Audio In & Out (supports HD Audio) as well as reset and power buttons. Much like on the Cosmos, the IO panel is exposed. Some like that and others do not, the previous model for example had a latch to cover up a thing or two. I am fine with that but also realize that dust can be collected in the USB ports at this specific angle.

Lacking is a fan controller and, weirdly enough, there is no RGB LED controller present either. This means that if you do not have an RGB connector on your motherboard or a dedicated RGB controller the two front 200mm fans might spin, but will not light up. Keep that in mind, okay? You can connect the fans to a LED strip connector on your motherboard to control with ASUS/MSI/Gigabyte software. But again, a regular controller is not included.

We quickly move back to the top, as the upper side can be removed. Just grab the back side and pull it upwards and you can access the fans / radiator or whatever you'd like to do there. Very handy. The quality is a little icky though, it's all plastic and it can be tricky to put the cover back on there. But fair enough, it is easy enough to clean out or reach whatever you mount under there though.

The front side of the Cosmos H500P has a removable front as well, at the top side you can pull it towards you, it'll stick at a 30 degree angle (to access the optical drives). Or pull it at the front and take it out completely to access the dust filter, as shown above. You can now clean the side meshes and/or access the massive fans. As you can see, an optical drive mount is lacking.
