As we start up this article, we start with the photo-shoot. As always we start off with packaging. Here is the box in the distinctive black and purple Cooler Master house style color, denoting the H500M chassis. Gross weight is roughly 16 kg in front of you right there, the empty chassis with glass panels weighs in at a 14 kg net weight.

The chassis is packaged well and comes protected in Styrofoam and a cover bag. You just pull the bag out of the box and behold, the chassis. Inside that bag, the chassis is covered with a plastic bag and the see-through elements have another plastic wrap for protection, as well as the smaller sensitive parts.

Once unpacked, you get a first impression of what the chassis is all about. Keywords are see-through, large meshes + two big RGB enabled fans at the front. The chassis might not carry the HAF designation, but it shares its DNA and is a High AirFlow design. You'll have noticed I mentioned four tempered glass panels, the front side one is not installed. If you like more airflow then leave it as is, if you want the tempered glass panel there, that can be installed as well. It is included as standard, so that is not an extra option you need to purchase.
